I'm not sure what you mean - you can search for calendars in the web
interface by email or reference them directly in the API.

I neglected to mention that you should first look at the built in contact
sharing system, whereby users can see each other in a similar way to
Microsoft Exchange's 'Global Address List (GAL)'.
