We would like to inform you about a fix in progress that will make the usage data obtained from email_clients and activity reports more consistent.
Currently, the columns in email_clients report represent the data collected on the current day and the 'count_1_day_actives' from activity report considers the data over the current day as well as the previous day. This leads to a considerable difference in the reported figures. For e.g, if report data is collected at 6.00 AM, 'email_clients.web_mail_count' currently gives the number of users who have accessed webmail in last 6 hours and 'activity.count_1_day_actives' represents the number of users active over last 30 hours as it covers the previous day. The required changes to make the data consistent involve making the 'email_clients.web_mail_count' represent the data over the same time window as 'activity.count_1_day_actives' i.e including the previous day. This fix would be rolled out soon followed by an announcement in the group.
