I've run into a snag when using the Email Settings API to create Send-
as aliases on my primary domain (domain.com). Currently my MX records
are not pointing to Google's MX, I'm doing dual delivery using a
shadow domain.

If I try to create a send-as alias for a group that exists called
"[email protected]" it says EntityDoesNotExist. If I try and create an
send-as that doesn't exist at all, it says the same thing. However,
if I add a nickname under my account called "Sales", the send-as
creates without a hitch. Naturally this is problematic when you've
got more than one person in "Sales" or already have a group by that
name.

Could someone please help clarify exactly what the requirements/
limitations are for creating send-as aliases?

Just in case anyone wants/needs it, this is the XML that it spits back
at me:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<AppsForYourDomainErrors>
  <error errorCode="1301" invalidInput="[email protected]"
reason="EntityDoesNotExist" />
</AppsForYourDomainErrors>

Thanks!
