Does anyone know what the actual usage allowances are for the Google
API e.g. number of calls / frequency of calls? I appear to have
triggered them. My requests to the snippets URL are coming back with
403 Forbidden in my C# code, and if I copy the URI across to my
browser I see the "we're sorry" error (copied at end of this
message). I've probably only made 100 calls this morning, but they
were quite similar as I am debugging my app.

It complains that it thinks "automated requests" are occurring from a
virus etc., my program is making automated requests, but obviously is
not a virus! I am not currently doing any authentication of a
developer ID or my google username or password - could this be
contributing (I did see a previous post saying authentication was not
required for snippets).

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Paul.

We're sorry...

... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer
virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process
your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon.
In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been
infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to
make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious
software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on
Google.
