Tom, No, I routinely submit 8-10 different feeds, and have been for a year or so. I was building up my total listings to about 250 items and was getting good traffic from Googel, when some time in late March, The issue with getting failures in my feed due to "The item contains a word that's not allowed," as well as "This attribute has too many values." After a couple of weeks I figured out to work around the "too many values" error, but using semi-colons to separate different items (such as shooting modes for a camera).
Most of the "disallowed word" errors cleared up as I attributed to an issue with GoogleBase, but my product feed for cameras continues to have issues. Around the week of April 15th, I noticed a dramatic drop-off in both search clicks and API impressions - but more so in API impressions. Traffic reported by my web-site also dropped off significantly as well. The coments on disallowed words from the Feed Detail Sections include: "product type:Cameras & Optics > Cameras > Webcams"; "scene modes:Portrait; Foliage; Snow; Beach; Fireworks; Aquarium; Underwater; Indoor; Kids & Pets; Night Snapshot" "shooting modes:Fireworks" DelCompuSales --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Base Data API" group.
