This is not a defect, but could be a request for enhancement. As such,
applied to ES5, it would naturally be a request to skip ES5's
mitigateGotchas for code received from a trusted intermediary. But it would
not necessarily involve digital signatures anywhere. Closing out
as "Obsolete" insofar as this bug only really makes sense for ES5/3, for
which we have no plans to make the enhancement described.
