Hi Philipp, Only primary calendars currently support the use of reminders. You'll notice that they are not available in the UI when adding an event (See help center page at: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37242&query=reminders&topic=&type=). From my perspective, since this functionality is not available, a 400 error (with a descriptive error message) should be returned if you are trying to add an event on a non-default calendar with reminder, instead of responding with the default reminder value. The general rule of thumb to follow is that if the functionality is not available in the UI, then it won't be available through the API.
