I'm 90% sure I've seen the behavior where I get a 400 response but the event is still added, but it's so sporadic I can't be sure. I'm still getting lots of 400 responses with bodies indicating "Failed to process recurrence rule ...", but they're sporadic too. Most times the same recurrence rule works fine. Maybe a server somewhere in the farm running old code?
