Hey Mikael, UUID/GUID's were such an obvious option that I presumed they'd been ruled out by Google for some other reason. I've used them for years in enterprise software development but I don't profess to be an expert in highly distributed systems which would be Google's perspective on this.
I still vote for a working SetID(). What are your thoughts regarding the real content of my post as regards making the extended property more efficient?
