Philipp, you are right. If you see a 'kind' category at the feed-level, it is just an indicator that all entries within the feed will be of that 'kind'. In the future, some kinds might also specify feed-level extensions, in which case you could also interpret the feed-level kind category tag as an indicator that those extensions might (optional) or will (required) be found.
