It appears that I added the singleevents query after I programmed my
method for event deletion which means that the conditional statement I
used wasn't working properly. With singleevents set to true I can't use
getRecurrence to decide whether or not a retrieved event is part of a
repeating event. So my new question is how can I work out if an event
retrieved using singleevents set to true is part of a repeating event?
Once I've done this then I can be sure that what I've got is working
and I can post exactly what I've done on here.

Thanks

Jake
