I am old to programming but new to google calendar. Forgive my
ignorance and feel free to point it out.

1) If this is going to serve the needs of a true event calendar, then
events need to be able to span days. Some events are weekend events
that need to be grouped via display but may have different times each
day. Right now I see no way to accomplish this.
2) Why can someone not RSVP for an event? I see how you can invite
someone but there is no way to RSVP. This seems like an easy way to
continue the growth of google members and needed by people like me who
work for a company that runs events.
3) Google checkout seems to be a natural evolution for event marketing
companies. I would like to put a price on an event and hook it to a
google checkout shopping cart. I am doing this on my side but this
seems inappropriate.
4) etc... There seems to be several short comings with this system. I
was honestly surprised. It really only serves as a light weight
calendar for people not use to more sophisticated calendar software.

Again, I am new so punch some sense into me. I want to understand a
bit more
