Hi David, There's not a whole lot of documentation on working with the comments feed, but I did find this entry in the knowledge base: http://code.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=64265&topic=10365
Basically, you need to add the <gd:comment> element to your event entry before POSTing it to the event's edit link.
