Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all of you, the developer forums are one of the best
resources for discovering issues in the Google data APIs and client
libraries. To leverage your efforts more effectively, there is new
issue tracker for managing the server-side issues where you can create
new issues as you discover them. You will also be able to comment on
existing issues if you have sample code or more information, and you
can tell us which issues are the most important by 'starring' them,
just like in GMail.

This new project, called gdata-issues, will house all issues
associated with the various services, such as Calendar, Spreadsheets,
and Picasa Web Albums, so be sure to specify which API is affected
when creating new bugs. Also, there are already issue trackers
associated with the open source project for each client library [1-5],
so if you find a bug that occurs on the client side, please file the
issue in one of those projects.

Eager to get started? You can view the issues for a specific project
by following links [6-15] below or view all the issues here:
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/list

When you visit the gdata-issues project, you'll see that a bunch of
server-side issues that were filed under the .NET client library have
already been moved to the new tracker, so you can go ahead and start
commenting on and starring those issues.

You'll also notice some feature requests labeled as 'Enhancements' in
the tracker. The Feature Requests page in this group will be
deprecated and features already filed on the groups page will be moved
to the issue tracker.

The goal of this new approach is to provide better reporting and
visibility of issues and ultimately to benefit you, the developer.
Using an issue tracker in parallel with this discussion forum will be
a new experience, so let us know what you think as we move forward.

Cheers,
Lane
