Hi Dave,

There is a feature request filed to add support for extendedProperty
elements in calendar entries:
http://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=49

In the meantime maybe you could add an event in the past and put the
extended property there.  Sorry I don't have a better solution.
