Hello everyone, I have what seems to be a very unique request of the gCal API. I simply need to query a publicly shared calendar and get the current event. We are using a Google calendar for a college radio station show schedule. Unfortunately the server we are using does not have DOM enabled in PHP, so I cannot use the PHP library. So, here is my quandry:
I almost have a javascript solution worked out, but it seems that you cannot disable the "unsupported browser" error in Safari 3 (or other unsupported browsers). Since I'm only doing one simple query, I have not experienced any problems. Is there any way to suppress this error? OR, Does anyone have a quick and dirty way I can query using cURL or an RSS parser to get whatever is the current event/appointment in the calendar and display the name of it? I don't even need the link or other details, simply the name of the event matching the current time. Any help you guys can give me, I would greatly appreciate.
