I am attempting to deal with vCal appointments pulled from a Microsoft
Exchange server which define a "custom" version of Eastern Standard
Time. Basically the same thing as America/New York with different
names. When I would add recurring appointments normally with just
DTSTART, DTEND, and RRULE it would place these off by about 5 hours.
I tried adding the VTIMEZONE element to the recurrence data as this
seems to be allowed by the gd:recurrence spec, and this causes
appointments to be rejected because of bad recurrence data (Though
this is rare) or in most cases the appointments be created as All Day
appointments, ignoring the times given by DT*. I'll post a few
examples later...but are there any odd caveats I need to keep in mind
while dealing with vcal or recurrences?
