In case anyone at Google is frantically working Saturday night to fix
this problem, I built a version of my app that skips the calendar feed
fetch if there are "could not generate feed" errors and goes on to
sync events.  Here's what happens when I try to delete an event:

  <batch:status code="403" reason="[EMAIL PROTECTED] does not have
read privileges on the calendar owned by
[EMAIL PROTECTED]"></batch:status>

The error is bogus because the calendar in question is a secondary
calendar created by the user. Here's hoping that clue sheds some light
on a speedy fix...
