As far as i know, the J2MEs that are out there do not support java 1.5  
features, so you are out of luck there (but i am no longer an expert  
on this, my knowledge is ancient in this area).

But yes, you can use .NET with VS2005 or up.... Or just write a bit of  
xml parsing code yourself i java ME.
