I cannot reproduce the error through the UI.
I tried 4 methods of entering a title of "é":
pasting your character
using a Mac entering "Option-e e"
using Firefox special character menu item C3 A9
using Safari special character menu item C3 A9
I used Firefox for the first 3. Its encoding is set to UTF8, Safari's
is "Default". I did quick add, but I tried editing some of these
events without any problems.
Maybe a transient server problem?
