Those errors come and go. I wish they wouldn't, because every outage
generates tech support emails for me. But nothing has been as bad as
the Great Google Outage of 2008 that started this thread. We got 600
tech support emails over that weekend.

I can see why Google might want to roll out releases on Friday
afternoons, but when they do, they should at least stick around for
the weekend to see if anything broke.
