A calendar which you don't own, but have permission to make changes to events, is like any other secondary calendar that you might have. Depending on your programming language, there are a number of examples of how to create events on secondary calendars in this group. In short, you either post your new event, or put your updated event, to the appropriate secondary calendar link.
