That's interesting. I'm sure I created a recurrence rule similar to
that one a few weeks ago and it didn't cause problems. In any case,
I've opened a defect report for this here:

I don't think it makes much sense to allow editing recurrence rules
directly from within Calendar, since this would thoroughly confuse
most users (iCalendar data isn't exactly user friendly). What Calendar
usually does is displays a text-version of the rule (we can usually
get that right, even if our UI doesn't allow creating the recurrence
rule), and allows people to override it using the existing recurrence
creation UI if they choose. Though, in this case, that doesn't seem to
be what's happening.
