If I recall correctly, value strings for gd:who elements are usually
populated with the user's name from Google Accounts. Allowing them to
be manually set is problematic, since the supplied value might differ
from what's stored in Google Accounts, and there's no way to handle
this in the UI.
Ray, I'm not sure how to account for the difference between what's
displayed in the UI and the API. If this causes a problem, please file
a feature request:
