It would be difficult to delete an event forever, since other API
clients (including the same client on a different machine) might
depend on that event being present. So, we'd need to create a way to
assign IDs to individual client installations, and then track which
clients have permanently deleted an event.
Considering the relatively small amount of overhead deleted events
occupy until they disappear, I'm not sure this would be worth it.
But if this is something you'd like to see, please file a feature
request here and it will be passed on to the Calendar team:
