I've done a lot of work with Maps, but this is my first attempt at a
Calendar. With Maps, you don't need authentication, so naturally
authentication looks like black magic to me. The first thing I want to
do, when my user comes to my site, is check whether he is already
authenticated, so I don't have to require him to login to Google
unless it's really necessary. But I can't find anything in the
documentation about "how to check whether your user is already
authenticated", or anything along those lines. I'm also confused by
the fact that the main Calendar doc says that session auth tokens can
expire, but the AuthSub doc says that they don't. Anyone feel like
helping a newbie who can't afford to be pulling out any more hair?
