Okay, I see what you're doing...

In that case, you need to get the address of the resource and list it
as an attendee for the event, as well as set the
gCal:sendEventNotifications property so that invitations are sent out.

As for how to look this address up, I'm afraid the only way to do this
for now is to use the regular Calendar UI, create a new event, and
write down the address that's used to "invite" the resource when you
try to book it.
