I wonder if some users here can shed light on timezone support. I'm a TC on the regular calendar forum.
1. no TZID specification enabled for start/end times within the event. This is not even made by assumption in accordance with your general set TZ. Instead the calendar offsets to Z time from the user's general set TZ which as I'm sure users know is inadequate due variations in the time delta across timezones as opposing directioned and/or differing DST rules apply.* 2. Calendar specified TZ is virtually academic to the extent that it has no influence on events created in the app which follow the general set TZ as for 1. It is respected for floating time events imported I note but again by offset to Z time and not TZID spec. 3. VTIMEZONE components do not update when changing the general setting from what I've seen and are left as they were. Deleting the calendar and setting the timezone anew rendered it without a VTIMEZONE at all. 4. Calendar's display timezone setting and the event specified setting are one and the same whereas they should be divorced. To my mind the general timezone setting should behave as the display setting and a default TZID event spec (which is then adjustable in the create event screen) 5. Unrelated. Pacific time users complain of incorrect current time being one hour fast. Personally I don't replicate and testing this and other TZ looks good to me but would be grateful for feedback *for point 1. Analysing my ics, revealed some events did bear a TZID parameter for start/end times but the vast majority did not. I'm not at all clear why.
