After dealing with this bad request error for a long time, I figured it out. the "username" in this link https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/username%40gmail.com/user is a wild card. Leave it the as is when you enter it into the server box.
Then go to your user name in account info and drop the "@gmail.com" from it. (The wildcard has that built in, so when you enter [email protected] in the account info, it creates "[email protected]@gmail.com" in the server link. Having figured that out, I couldn't however figure out how to post to the discussion, so I hope you all find this problem.
