I'm looking to take advantage of the Google Calendar as a web-based front-end and also provide some reporting tools. But for auditing reasons (I work for the gov't), I'd like to house the calendar data in our own database. I think I'm a bit off on how much control you have on the API... but I want to make sure before I dismiss the idea.
1) Can the calendar be used as a front-end, while the data is housed in my local databases? 2) Is a google account required?
