Here is an example of a embedded calendar, that you can't see, but I can. http://www.warmroom.com/calendar/
On that page are displayed 3 calendars, 2 which are completely hidden to you and one which is public which you can see free/busy information. When I go there, as a logged in Google user, I can see all three. If you could share the code that you posted at sites.google.com, or the url to the page, perhaps someone could help you make this work.
