I have developed some web-based software. I host it, and I charge my clients a monthly subscription fee to use it via the Internet.
I would like to provide a way for my users to upload data from my application's database into their own personal Google calendars. However, I want to make sure such use would not put me in violation of section 10.3 of the Terms of Use. It sounds like I would have to create a separate, open source licensed program for this purpose. Could you please: A. point me to a resource where I could learn more about the Google Calendar Data API licensing details as they might apply to for-profit Software as a Service companies? and... B. point me to a resource where I could request an open source license for a separate "Upload" program I could offer to my clients? Thank you, Craig Barton Terms of Service 10.3 reads: 10.3 Unless Google has given you specific written permission to do so (e.g., through an open source software license), you may not assign (or grant a sub-license of) your rights to use the Software, grant a security interest in or over your rights to use the Software, or otherwise transfer any part of your rights to use the Software. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Calendar Data API" group.
