Thanks for the workaround, J. Add my voice to the complaints about this issue. I mean, seriously, I have a GOOGLE G1 PHONE!!! And I STILL can't sync my GOOGLE SPORTS CALENDAR?!!? Duh!
I can't begin to imagine why Google is doing this.
