Unfortunately, and I you might understand, this is a read-only field that is set by the server. It doesn't really mean that the original event was updated at 2:00am, but that the Google calendar event was. If you need to store this value, you can use the Extended Property<http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/docs/2.0/elements.html#gdExtendedProperty>field.
