Alain, Thanks a ton for your response. Hopefully we can work this out together. I am the product mngr for the LDS Church's online calendar.
I've pasted more details below. The following are live URLs from our 2 environments - I just tested them & the Test one works & the Prod (production) one doesn't. You should be able to paste them into your personal Google calendar & reproduce the issue. Let me know - * * *Test* * http://new-test.lds.org/church-calendar/services/lucrs/ical/subscribe/3398576366140155328 * *Prod* * http://lds.org/church-calendar/services/lucrs/ical/subscribe/4376605453582657376 * *Issue Details* 1. Problem started back in November, not sure if it was the same cause back then. 2. We found ics validation problems on our end and fixed all those through several releases in an attempt to eliminate any causes we could 3. User adds our calendar feed to his Google calendar by url and sees the following symptoms at different times: o Google calendar puts up Importing Calendar message which seems to hang o Google calendar adds the calendar feed with no error, but no events come o Google calendar tries briefly to import the calendar by url, but fails fairly quickly with an "unable to import the url" error o If it's the same url as one that successfully worked before (for a good year prior to November for most users), events simply stop coming in but there are no errors or other indications that there is a problem. Same thing if we generate a new URL from our production environment ... the events never come into the Google calendar 4. Users can reliably import calendars from http://new-test.lds.org/church-calendar/services/lucrs/ical/subscribe/* (this is our test server... this is why we are sure the bug is on Google's side, because we know that everything except the URL is the same between our test server and our prod server (the prod server is at the URL below in #5) 5. Users are completely unable to import calendar from http://lds.org/church-calendar/services/lucrs/ical/subscribe/* 6. LDS.org network teams have verified that no network filtering is occurring on these urls and that no forwarding to other blocked urls (or https) is occurring 7. Downloading the ics file from the blocked url and then importing the file into Google Calendar works fine.
