my calendar gadget has a login button
calling google.accounts.user.login(scope);
and the authentication window appears;
The trouble is the returning url, the window that now appears is just the
gadget window,
ie its not the google sites page with the sidebar and the web page;

sure I can operate the browser back buttons, but that is not a good user
experience.

Now I have implemented my own code dance with the help of a cookie to detect
the authentication action and hardcode opening back to the proper sites page
-
but sometimes it doesn't work, and in IE completely broken and there is
still windows
dancing about.....
but should all that be necessary ?
I thought not, believing the documentation I find......

anyone else confirm this behaviour ?
