Thanks, I hadn't twigged that "rel" was limited to a restricted (and 
seemingly arbitrary) list of values but even with the 'correct' rel values I 
am only seeing one value stored in the calendar entry without 'label' or 
'rel' values.

If I want the 'map' link in the web UI to use the LatLng location I need to 
store it as the primary location and store the text address elsewhere which 
is unfortunate.

I see from the examples in the doc link you supplied that the gd:where can 
can contain a gd:geoPt which would seem to be the *proper *place to put Lat 
Long values but I an not sure whether I could easily create a structured  
gd:where from JavaScript or whether the UI would use the information when 
displaying maps.
