I thought I figured out the issue but I just received a response from one of
my customers with the following details. I tried to replicate this issue
locally myself but was not able to do so. Here are the details from the
customer and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for these suggestions. I too have gone back to basics – I’ve
created a new test Outlook file, and I’ve wiped my Google calendars and
created a new Tasks3 calendar. I’ve reset the sync tables and set up sync
between the new Outlook Tasks and Google Tasks3.

I created a new task in Outlook and sync'ed– as before it shows in
www.google.com/calendar but not in www.google.com/calendar/m.

Then I created a new task in mobile calendar and sync'ed- that correctly
shows in both www.google.com/calendar/m and www.google.com/calendar but not
in Outlook.

I’m therefore at a total loss to see what is the problem – I am being
careful to keep signing out of Google as I switch calendars.
