Hello Eddy,

Unfortunately, notifications are only sent when updating (or deleting) an
event and setting the sendEventNotifications flag to true. However, your
friend should be able to download the entire calendar feed or subscribe to
the calendar .ics feed which is available through the web UI (in the
calendar settings).

Another option would be to download the entire list of events using the API.
