Hello, The Google Calendar API is now moving to v3 <http://googleappsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2011/11/introducing-next-version-of-google.html>and will give developers many more functionalities such as:
- Lightweight resource representation in JSON<https://code.google.com/apis/calendar/v3/getting_started.html#data-json> - Consistent and comprehensive reference documentation<https://code.google.com/apis/calendar/v3/reference.html> - Improved support for recurring events<https://code.google.com/apis/calendar/v3/using.html#recurring_events_operations> - Ability to manipulate default reminders<https://code.google.com/apis/calendar/v3/using.html#updating_calendar_list_entry>on calendars - Access to the new UI and event colors<https://code.google.com/apis/calendar/v3/using.html#colors> The documentation has been updated to add support for Google supported client libraries which include Java, Python, .NET, PHP and Ruby. More languages will be added to the documentation as we work to improve it. Along with the release of the new version, we are also deprecating version 1.0 and 2.0 which will be turned off on November, 17 2011. We strongly advise developers to switch to the new version. Google Calendar API v3 not being backward compatible, we are taking this opportunity to move the forum to a new Google Groups address: [email protected]. Its standalone form can be accessed here<https://groups.google.com/forum/embed/?place=forum/google-calendar-api#!forum/google-calendar-api>or you can still use this URL: http://code.google.com/apis/calendar/community/forum.html This old forum has been set to archive mode and won’t accept new messages.
