The API does not support dates as data points, however you have a lot
of control over what and where to place axis labels. Check out the
Axis Labels and following sections @ 
http://code.google.com/apis/chart/labels.html#axis_labels

Your chart will be more difficult to arrange if you have gaps in your
dates and/or a wide range of dates that aren't equally spaced.
