The CHM parameter is used to specify what sort of marker to show for a data point. In your bar chart, the data point is as the end, not the middle. Therefore, you'll need to look into how to add an additional data set to use for the placement of the data markers. Take a look, try some things out and if you still run into issues, let us know.
