The Maps part does hold a lot of promise. But the issue is the stuff you listed already and the size is too small. If the size was about 650px wide, it would make small countries visible and more people would use it on their website. Also, as you mentioned, its lacking regional features. But its still relatively new, so there will be some major improvements soon. If you want to see it in action, check out my website at
