in order to get something where I have 8 entries at the x-axis, to whom belong always up to four points of different color (blue,red,gray,black) - not every of the 8 entries need to have all of them. At first, I planned to work with 4 data sets, one for each color, but I did not find out how to do a scatter plot with several data sets. So what I have done finally, is a scatter plot with one data set only and defining for every single point with chm its color indidually - but this is surely not the best way. Would it have been easier to do with line charts, with invisible lines?
