Now there is :) See http://groups.google.com/group/google-chart-api/web/chart-types-for-information-bubbles - we've just added this functionality. Use "bbtl", "bbtr", "bbbr" or "bbT" for a bubble with the tail in the top-left corner, top-right, bottom-right, or with no tail, respectively, instead of "bb" as before.
