I've been playing with it in Safari, wherein I get no js errors whatsoever. The json is produced by php's json_encode() functionality. I'm already going over the data client-side and converting all the date string to date objects, I'll try doing the same with a parseInt() for the other data. Still, I find it odd that it would work in one case and not at all in the other. If you note in the broken example, the tooltips still show the actual correct values.
