Good luck with your project! As for the other project name, I'll tell you the same thing that I tell everyone. Short names and acronyms are heavily overloaded and they get reserved early. You should think of it the same as if someone else had registered that name on Google Code already. In fact, it is likely that other people have tried to register it on Google Code before you. While short names seem cool to the person who thinks them up, they give no clue to potential users and contributors. Instead, try to choose a name that has a little more says-what-it-does quality to it. That will help people search and find your project and decide to click through. You can still use your cool short name as a nickname in your code and documentation. Thanks, jason!
