Hello Google Code. I'm trying to create two projects at Google Code, but I get a name conflict in either case.
In the former case, the name is available at Google Code, but it also exists at SourceForge, so Google Code says that I have to get the permission from the original project owner. I followed the instructions and even privately wrote to him to give more information - but my message bounced back as the SourceForge mailer said that there's no such a user. So he can't be contacted for asking for his permission. The context of that project is very different from mine. In the latter case, there's already an existing project with the same name at Google Code, but it's empty - no information, no groups, a subversion repository with only the initial commit. Since that initial commit dates back to 2008, I suspect that the project has been aborted and I wonder whether it is possible to reuse the name. Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
