Dear googe-code-hosting-team,

I am not sure if this is premature acting and whether you are
responsible for cases like this at all. Maybe you can give me advice,
anyway.

On behalf of a small group of developers am trying to obtain the
google code project name "applause" for our current and future
achievements (see below). I have already contacted the owner of this
project, Iesa Maliek, but I am not sure if I will get an answer about
this issue soon. Neither his google code user profile (http://
code.google.com/u/iesamaliek/updates), his twitter account (http://
twitter.com/iesamaliek) nor his blog (http://iesamaliek.blogspot.com/)
indicates any activity for over half a year. The aforementioned
project itself seems to be abandoned right after it has been created
in late 2008.

Is there a way you can contact Iesa in this matter? Are there any
intended steps to reassign that project in case he does not respond?

Looking forward to your advice.

Regards,
Heiko

Subject: your google code project applause

Hi Iesa,

my name is Heiko Behrens, I am a committer on various open source
projects such as Eclipse, Xtext, Xpand and iPhonical. Together with
some colleagues we are planning to separate from
http://code.google.com/p/iphonical/
(a framework for model driven development of iPhone applications) and
are looking for a proper project name to push model-driven development
for mobile devices. We will implement a development environment based
on Xtext (www.xtext.org), Xpand (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Xpand) and
various other projects we are involved with as a showcase. Since our
goal is broader than just the iPhone+Android and since we want to
target mobile apps in general we thought that "APPlause" would be a
good match.

If I got this right, you are the project lead of
http://code.google.com/p/applause/
. As far as I can see, the project is not under active development but
has only be created in late 2008 to reside there untouched.

I am kindly asking you to yield the project applause to us. Even
though we will do CRUD operations, our efforts will be independent
from your current ideas, though. We are only interested in the project
name and are not planing on continuing your code base.

Please let us know what you think,

Regards,
Heiko
