That sounds like a great idea! I will explore that option tonight. But
the most important question is wether our server will be un-banned, so
we can startup this sync job?:-)

Just a suggestion -- perhaps an easier option than reconfiguring the
build server to try to make it hit the server less would be to make a
caching server next to it and set up svnsync on a cron job to pull
down updates on a particular interval. I don't think svnsync has much
overhead beyond the actual retrieval of revision data, so having it on
a 30 minute timer (or even 15 minute -- that's what the mono project
used/uses for its anonymous access SVN mirror) shouldn't cause too
much load at Google's end. Then, you could point the integration
software at the local mirror instead and it could thrash away at it as
much as it liked. :-)

Hi
I hope somebody can answer this quickly - we would like to know our
options
soon. This project has many developers and now several working days
have
gone since we were able to integrate our builds. As far as I know
we have
not been warned that we were going to be banned, so we had no
options to
adjust our way of working before the server was banned.
WIll there be an option to open up for our integration server
again? We will
of course make sure that it does not overload your systems again.
If not,
can you please tell me so, so we can find other solutions?

Hi
OK, I understand. Bu t is there any way we can get it back and
working for
us again? If I go through my Maven projects and tweak them to not
force a
complete update for every build for example? That may reduce the
load on the
servers during build.
Best regards

We banned your server last week because it was generating far more
load
than a reasonable client should, even for an integration server.

Hi
Our integration server with IP 89.221.245.237 gets a 403 when it
tries
to check out from google code (SCY project). I have tried to do
a wget
from the same server directly on one of the files in our code repo
with the same effect - 403 Forbidden. If I try to do the same from
other identical servers it all works out great.
My question is maybe our integration server has been banned, and
is
thus not allowed to checkout files anymore? I really hope that
this is
not the case, since we really need the integration server to do
our
builds.
Hope anybody can help with this.
